About the Shaun Belcher Archive

This archive contains all the images of artworks I still have. Most were either from slides or snapshot photographs. The quality is mostly poor because I did not have access to a better camera.

The majority of the larger artworks have been destroyed by time and neglect (see below).

I completed a great deal of works from 1981 when I left Hornsey College of Art until the start of 1989 when at the age of 30 I finally threw in the towel on living on the breadline in a succession of London squats.

The images below tell their own story. In 2012 after my mother’s death I had to clear the garage where my father had stored the paintings. they were all beyond repair apart from the image of the mother and child which my friend salvaged. The rest I broke up.
