Who Is: SHAUN BELCHER

Also known to his wife and friends as Shaun Belcher trained as a fine art painter at Hornsey College of Art, London then had several art exhibitions there. His artwork has appeared on record sleeves for W.E.A. and Creation record labels.

He was a member of a community arts team painting school murals and making mosaics in Islington, London in the mid 1980’s.

He is also a published poet Last Farmer 2010 and has worked in Prisons delivering creative writing and given many public readings.

He can offer GRAPHIC arts, digital arts and creative writing workshops in a range of community settings.

Presently based in Nottingham after periods in Oxford and Edinburgh.

Trained as teacher at Nottingham University 2003-4 and has P.G.C.C.E. qualification and has had regularly updated CRB advanced disclosures when necessary.

Has been City Arts Nottingham artist in residence and led Framework Housing Association Drugs Project and facilitated web deployment of Double Impact art projects in 2006-7.

Also worked in HMP Nottingham and Whatton..most recently on a ‘Book in a day’ project with fellow members of Inside Out Writers Collective.

Has freelanced as ‘live illustrator’ or ‘Scriber’ on academic conferences and research projects (NTU 2014 Product Design Project).
