These are the original versions of the songs. They are pretty different.
That's a nice thing about songs. There are a million ways to do them.

Yes. The well is dry. My soul is cleansed.

I've done a few gigs with just me and the voices in my head. Right now
I'm touring with a drummer (Willie B.) and myself.

7.WHY THE MUSIC STAND DO YOU HAVE PROBLEMS REMEMBERING LYRICS

Yes indeed.

8.IF YOU WERE ABLE TO JOIN THE ROLLING STONES OR BEATLES AT THEIR

I would never join an English band (except for the Mekons).

Velveeta.

INSTRUMENTS OR OTHER HIIDDEN MUSICAL GEMS?

Yes. I got up to a hundred or so records from a foreign college student
who had died. Also a nice bass head made by York.

Yes and no.

I like the ones that write nice things about me.

13.DO YOU HAVE A DOG?

My wife and I have 14 cats: Harold, Juliet, Chloe, Fred, Bobby, William,
Squeaky, Romeo, Sammy, Teddy, Trixie, Katrina, Mickey, and Patrick.

14.ANY PLANS TO MOVE OUT OF ITHICA?

No. Never. I'll be buried here.

15.DO YOU EVER BET ON LOTTERY?

Only once a week.

No. But I do have some nice stomp boxes.

I was born in New York City, my family lived around DC for a while, and
right around when I turned 4 we moved up to just outside of Burlington,
Vermont where we lived for the rest of my growing-up. Burlington is the
biggest city in Vermont, but that's not really saying much in terms of size.
It's a great place though -- a college town (with all the arts-friendly,
liberal-leaning vibe that implies) by a lake in a rural state...MORE

I was born in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA on March 9, 1971. I mainly grew up in St. Louis Park (a first-ring suburb of Minneapolis that was also home to filmmakers the Coen Brothers, writer/comedian/political satirist Al Franken, Dan Wilson of Semisonic, and many others in the music and film businesses) except for a year spent in Chapel Hill, North Carolina when I was 5, while my dad went to school there for a year....MORE


Porter Wagoner is an old time, rhinestone-studded country star who gave Dolly Parton her start as his singing partner on a syndicated TV show in 1967. They would become romantically partnered as well until a rancorous split in 1974. Parton went on to bigger things while Porter continued his bent career before blue-haired variety of Grand Ol Opry audiences. Now possessed of "alt.country godfather" status, rhinestones and hair notwithstanding.
